BLS Friends of the Arts
The Friends of the Arts (FOA) is a parent group that exists to support and advocate for the music, visual art and drama programs of the Fine Arts Department at BLS.

Did you know that over half of students at BLS participate in arts programs? That means over 1,000 students are involved in music, drama and visual art at BLS. The Friends of the Arts is a parent-led group that works closely with the faculty in the Arts Department to support these programs for our kids. We meet on the first Wednesday of every month from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the 2nd floor BLS Arts Wing.

- scholarships for private instrumental lessons and summer music programs
- painting of Black Box Theatre
- costumes for Show Choir
- curtain for drama productions
- stage risers for music performances
- visual arts supplies
- lighting board for drama productions
- binders for choral program
- program booklets for music and drama performances
- bus transportation for students involved in state-wide competitions
- professional slides for AP Art portfolios
- annual Arts Awards Banquet
